Did the Sumerians believe Inanna’s descent to the underworld, epic of Gilgamesh, etc. were literally historically true or was it just a way of displaying a morale message and wasn’t intended to be real in the way we know it, and did the Greeks believe the Iliad was historical/literally true too?
